Katy Foster, a.k.a. Brown Dog Impressions, has been active in web design and development for more than six years. She grew up near Pittsburgh and after graduating from Hiram College, Katy began her career as a reporter for a small weekly newspaper company based out of Stow, Ohio. Unfortunately, there's only so much joy one can get from assembling the local police blotter, so she moved to Cleveland Heights and began her search for a career.

After a brief stint in clerical work, Katy began working at Case Western Reserve University, where she taught herself web design and eventually became Webmaster of the College of Arts and Sciences. Apart from design, she was also responsible for training faculty and staff in web site maintenance and administration of e-mail campaigns.

After almost five years at Case, it was once again time for a change, and Katy moved on to Progressive Insurance, where she worked full-time in the design, development, and deployment of e-mail campaigns to both customers and independent insurance agents.

Currently, Katy is making a go at the wonderful world of freelance web design, writing, editing, desktop publishing, and digital photography. When she's not writing about herself in the third person, she lives in a 99-year-old house in Cleveland Heights with her husband, Marc, who bought her an engraved iPod for her birthday. What more could a nerdy girl ask for?

Also living in Katy and Marc's home are three cats, a slighty overweight cockatiel, and three dogs, including Tigger, the Brown Dog for whom this business is named. Here is a picture of Marc and Tigger. Thanks again for stopping by. Cheers!
